BEAUTIFUL WORLD
The sun was conquering the gloom
The cold and damp air was warmer
The landscape becoming clearer
The color of the pine trees more vivid
For a moment I catch my breath
At the splendor of the snow covered meadow
Stretching for miles with nothing to spoil the line
As soft swirling flakes fall
I can see you in everything
That makes up this beautiful world....

WORTH THE WAIT
Across the sky the sun splashed scarlet
As soft snow flakes
Frosted the window panes
Like something out of a fairy tale
Another bright clear winter morning
The carpet of ground frost
Winked in the sunshine
As it melted into dew
And the clouds had a sheen
That promised more snow
Inside the fire flicked in the grate
Casting its shadow over everything
Bring a warm comforting glow
Like your love for me
And I know love doesn't come to order
But when it comes
In a delicious unexpected way
It was all the more worth the wait.
